Many wedding cakes look beautiful but how many have a memorable taste?  Ever notice how dry many of them are?  In fact many wedding cakes are left UN-eaten!  The most common reason for this is because many bakers/decorators use a very dry cake since it is easier to handle and support.

Chef Imondi refuses to follow that line of thinking!  The chef believes any cake should look as good as it tastes.  It should be moist throughout, complimented with a great icing with excellent melt in your mouth qualities.

Only Chef Imondi can combine a delicious cake with proper assembly to develop the perfect cake for your special day.  In fact our cakes are often the most memorable food item at the reception!

All our cakes are made from scratch, decorated and assembled most cases just prior to your event for ultimate freshness.

Unlike most supermarkets, we bake all our cakes-no frozen stuff here!  We make all our own icings-no cavity sweet icing out of a bucket here!

We feature a wide variety of choices from the traditional white with buttercream to the most exotic and elaborate requests. Here are some popular cake choices:

TWO (2) TIERS TRADITIONAL
Traditional wedding finish style - can be made to serve as few as 2 to 350 people.

FOUR (4) TIER GUM PASTE
Hand made gum paste flowers accent this popular design. This elegant cake features gum paste roses, ribbon, and piped accents to cascade this elegant centerpiece on your special day.

ITALIAN CREAM
By far our best selling cake.  It consists of 2 layers of yellow cake and 1 layer of chocolate. Normally flavored with rum it's layered with bavarian & chocolate bavarian creams.  Normally it's finished with whipped cream and lady fingers but we can omit the lady fingers and use a traditional buttercream finish.

 

SEA SHELL
Weddings are common on the beach in our area. Here is the perfect compliment complete with fondant seashells sprayed to the color you desire!

GROOMS CAKE
Our best grooms cake is the Chocolate Mousse torte.  Ask to see a picture!  It will always be the first cake to disappear at any wedding!  It's elegant, attractive, and delicious!

A filling can be as important as the cake itself!  Only Chef Imondi's gives you this great selection to choose from!  You may choose different fillings for each layer but we'd be remiss if we didn't make you aware that guests at your wedding might have hard feelings if they didn't get to try a certain flavor!

Q. What do I need to do to order a wedding cake?
A. Make an appointment with the chef himself to sit down and discuss the perfect cake for you!  Bring photos, pictures, color swatches, ribbons, and any drawings you may have of cakes you have seen that appeal to you

Q. How far in advance do I need to order the cake?
A. Generally 1-2 months is great but the chef can accommodate many last minute requests.

Q. How big of a cake do I need?
A. The chef will take care of this for you and will suggest the exact size you need.

Q. What is the most important

Q. What is the best cake you make?
A. All of our cakes are equally delicious but if we had to pick one our Italian Cream is simply unsurpassable!

Q. How much does a wedding cake cost?
A. A lot depends on flavor, style, decorations, and assembly but for a good starting estimate figure $1.75 per serving plus separator plates, columns, delivery, stand rental, etc.

Q. When do I pay for the cake?
A. 25% is required as a deposit at time order is placed, the entire balance is due one week prior to your wedding.  We accept all credit cards.  Out of town customers can order cakes over the phone with a credit card.

Q. Can you cater the wedding?
A. We would love to.  Please see our catering page.

Additional info:
  The most common decision a bride must make on the cake is the kind of flowers-piped with icing, fresh flowers provided by florist, or gum paste flowers.
  We will take care of: advising you on the cake size, complete assembly excluding fresh flowers which are put on by the florist, delivery and set up.
  Cake flavors and icings although important are trivial compared to the date of your wedding and the finish work required on your cake.
  You are welcome to sample any cake we make prior to purchase.
